English Muffin Bread

We have had many requests for this wonderfully tasty and easy bread recipe.  I have seen Kathy bake this delicious bread and it seems like it is easier and takes less time to make this bread than to go out to the store to buy a loaf!

Here is the recipe.

No Knead English Muffin Bread
5 C flour
1 T cornmeal plus addition to sprinkle in prepared pans
4 ½ t active or 3 ½ instant yeast
1 T sugar
2 t salt
¼ t baking soda
2 ½ C warm water
Coat 2 loaf pans with non-stick spray, dust with cornmeal and set aside.
In a large bowl combine 2 cups of the flour with all the ingredients. Once the warm water is
added, mix on medium speed for 3 minutes.
Add the remaining 3 cups of flour on the lowest setting. When incorporated the dough will be
soft, pliable and slightly sticky.
Divide dough between pans, cover with a damp paper towel. Let rise until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 35 minutes or until it sounds hollow when tapped.
Remove the loaf from the pan and let it cool completely before slicing.
Freezes well
